Consumers are using both healthcare devices and telemedicine services in significant numbers. Not only are they acquiring dedicated health monitors, such as blood pressure monitors and blood glucose monitors, they are connecting these devices to the cloud. Much of this trend was driven by the coronavirus pandemic, which increased consumers' interest in tracking their own health. This drove sales for devices such as pulse oximeters (low blood oxygen is a symptom of COVID-19). Pandemic-related lockdowns and social distancing measures also drove interest in telemedicine services, which rose from a niche application to a widely accepted medical option for consumers. In this report, we highlight key findings from our Endpoints & IoT, Health Monitors 2022 survey.
