Health and entertainment are top use cases for wearable devices

 

Consumer wearable technology could be used in a wide variety of ways to enhance daily lives. But in their current iterations, owners have found the most usefulness around health, entertainment and communication. While there is potential for more immersive experiences down the road, especially as the technology behind virtual and augmented reality matures, wearables on the whole are still seen as one-off devices for limited or narrowly defined use cases.
