Tablet and PC Update: The Changing Face of Personal Computing

 

The term personal computing no longer involves being chained to a desk. Consumers expect to perform tasks on the run, a phenomenon that accelerated in recent years due in part to the pandemic and the expansion of remote work. As more and more computing functions can be completed without the aid of a traditional computer (desktop, or even laptop for that matter), the ability to use mobile devices instead takes center stage. These changing expectations, especially among younger generations, are making mobility the most important aspect of personal computing.
