As mentioned in part 1 last week, service providers are increasingly focused on opportunities to generate revenue and improve their market positioning by directly supporting their customers' specific workloads and major IT initiatives. Many service providers also expect the pursuit of these opportunities to drive transformation in their IT environments over the next several years, impacting hardware, systems software and operating models.
