AI is increasingly utilized in automated driving, particularly in advanced driver assistance systems and vehicle-to-everything features. These technologies enable safety-critical, real-time decision-making for use cases such as automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and driver monitoring systems. Additionally, generative AI enhances the in-vehicle user experience with intelligent voice assistants and generates synthetic data to train autonomous vehicle and ADAS models. However, consumer perception of AI in vehicles is mixed, with concerns about errors, privacy and transparency. According to our Endpoints & IoT, Autonomous Vehicles 2025 survey, more than half of respondents worry about potential errors in AI's critical decision-making for autonomous vehicles.
