Hybrid, multicloud estates spanning private and public cloud environments have become the default (or at least the aspirational) enterprise IT environment. As more organizations enter the execution phase of hybrid/multicloud deployment, implementation approaches and management strategies are starting to take shape, and the challenges are coming into focus. As the market settles on hybrid/multicloud as the foundation of digital-era approaches to IT, organizations will need to ensure that IT estates remain aligned with business and IT priorities, which may involve engaging with third parties to develop (or in some cases redesign) strategies and optimize their IT environments for security, performance and cost. These issues are reflected in the responses to 451 Research's Cloud, Hosting & Managed Services, Hybrid/Multicloud 2022 survey. Fielded July 26-Sept. 30, 2022, with a panel of 782 IT decision-makers, this survey analyzes hybrid and multicloud adoption and examines organizations' strategies and challenges.
