Consumer adoption of wearable technologies continues at a slow and steady pace, with smartwatches, smart earbuds, fitness trackers and smart headphones leading the way. Apple remains the top performer across these device spaces because its ecosystem still holds a competitive advantage over rivals Samsung and Google. The popularity of smart earbuds and headsets has been especially high among Generation Z and millennials. Virtual reality headset ownership remains low, but the anticipated launch of Apple’s Vision Pro headset is driving strong consumer interest.
