Wearable buying intent stable, but behind 2023’s pace

 

Wearable device buying plans lag 2023’s pace but are showing more stability than the post-holiday time frame. Current economic conditions are clearly still having a negative impact on consumer electronics spending. For many households, wearable tech is seen as discretionary spending, which is highlighted in the differences between planned buying for higher- and lower-income households. Generation Z and millennials continue to stand out as the most influential consumers because they are the top users across several wearable device categories.
