While there is growing and substantial innovation in productivity and collaboration tools, it can be easy to underestimate because these tools mediate much of how employees spend their time day-to-day, and the organizational, cultural and personal context around them can be complex. The Workforce Productivity & Collaboration, Workforce Execution Technologies, Goals & Challenges 2024 survey results reflect many of the challenges as employees work across these tools, and where employees want improvements. Workers express desire for a much more integrated and customizable tool set with more automation and intelligence, as well as a stronger ability to connect employees to both their goals and wider organizational outcomes.
