Acquiring or accessing the technology skills necessary to complete planned or necessary technology initiatives continues to be a key challenge for enterprises. Most enterprises express some such gaps in their technology skills, and three-quarters expect to make moderate to large investments in developing or accessing those skills over the coming year. Gaps are particularly pronounced in the areas of AI, IT infrastructure in general, and cloud platforms specifically. Businesses are broadly targeting those areas with investment, and generally favor developing skills in-house over sourcing skills externally, although both are in the mix.
