In our past summary of the Data & Analytics, DataOps 2025 survey, we found that the majority of organizations fall in the middle of a maturity curve for high-level data management and DataOps functions. However, the goal posts for maturity are constantly moving as supporting technology evolves and becomes more advanced. Data management must support new, more sophisticated business use cases, including AI and generative AI, compounding any deficiencies or technical debt. Yet businesses appear to be striving to keep up with data management demands in their specific practices, particularly as automation becomes more available for supporting technology and techniques.
