Public cloud remains "first among many" as the single most common IT environment for generative AI workload deployments. However, organizations are bringing multiple varieties of private cloud into the mix. Infrastructure approaches to generative AI clearly reflect the evolution of enterprise IT environments toward hybrid architectures. Meanwhile, rapid adoption and implementation of generative AI is fueling other changes in enterprise IT, including greater recognition of the need for substantial transformation of IT environments, growing awareness of the neoclouds as hyperscaler alternatives, and considerable levels of multicloud-iness across key layers of the GenAI stack.
